Creating the incidents

Introduction

First, you must define critical areas in your organization to understand how Incidents work. These could include, for example, a blocked door on an evacuation route or failure to send documentation on time. You have the authority to make decisions regarding the policy on incidents in your organization.

Create the right question

To detect an incident during the inspection, it is important to ask specific questions related to it. You have the flexibility to create your own questions based on the situation. For instance, you can inquire whether the guard is aware of the fire safety procedure by asking, "Does the guard know the fire safety procedure?" On the other hand, you can ask "Does the guard miss any step in the fire safety procedure?" It's worth noting that answering "No" to the first question would indicate an incident, whereas answering „Yes" to the second question would also indicate an incident.

You can use a few types of answers with the Incidents feature:

  • Yes / No
  • Scale 1 - 5
  • Scale 1 - 10
  • Single choice

We suggest using a yes/no answer to accurately detect the incident without any ambiguity.

Mark the answer as an incident

To mark a specific answer as an incident in Template Creator, simply check the checkbox next to the answer in the Incident column. You can check more than one answer if needed.

You have the option to choose from two types of incidents: normal and urgent. Urgent incidents will be displayed on the Incident card with a red triangle icon.

An incident will be created automatically when the inspector selects the answer marked as incident during the inspection.

Answers marked as incidents will be displayed in red color on the report.
