Getting started with templates

Discover how easy it is to convert your real control processes to the Checly templates.

Introduction

The library is the perfect starting point for your journey with the Checly app. The templates provided will assist you in transforming your real organizational control processes into their digital counterparts.

We have designed a template creator that offers easy and maximum flexibility in creating even the most complicated processes. With this tool, you can utilize a wide range of answer types and advanced rules in inspection forms.

Checly Score

We have developed the Checly Score, a game-changer in the inspection world. This feature allows you to determine which questions are important and when the app should detect incidents. All of these settings enable you to gather high-quality data that is ready for analysis.

You need to decide the global rules for incidents. Enable incident management policies and establish new standards for your inspection results. Each minor incident will decrease the total inspection score by 4%, while each urgent incident will decrease it by 10%. You can find this feature under the Inspections tab in the Settings.

Create a template

In this section, we will guide you through the process of creating a template using the web app. We will cover the essential steps and provide you with a solid understanding of the basics involved in creating templates.

Take note, that this feature is only available for Organisation Admin and Site Admin.

  1. Log in to the Checly app.
  2. Select the Library, then click the Plus button, next to the Library header.
  3. Enter the Title of the template (use easy to recognised title).
  4. If you want, you can add Additional fields (they will be displayed on the report's top table.) using the Plus button.
  5. Click the Add section to add the first section to the inspection.
  6. Enter the name of the section.

  8. Choose the type of answer.
  9. If you want, you can mark the answer as incident and set its type (normal or urgent).
  10. Set the weight of the answer. (The higher the value, the more relevant the answer is to the calculation of the final score.)
  11. (Optional) You can add the "Not applicable" answer if you want - available for specific answers.
  12. (Optional) Also, you can invert the scoring direction - available for specific answers.
  13. When you have added all sections and questions, you can easily delete them (bin icon) or reorder them (list icon).
  14. In the next step, you have the option to set the permissions of the template. There are two choices available: Organisation and Private. If you select the Private option, you can use the search function to add specific users and grant them access to the template.
  15. The penultimate step is to choose the type of score from the options of Percents and Points.
  16. In the last step, you will set the language of the template. Please note that the application does not automatically translate the question.
